21 October 2020
As we approach the end of this half term there are few items of information to share with you.
Firstly, I would like to say a sincere thank you to parents for your overwhelming support this half term. It has been a tricky time with many changes to manage to ensure our schools can continue to operate as safely as possible. The children have continued to be brilliant across both schools. They continue to be happy, settled, engaging really well and enjoying so much being back together again. They are a credit to you and we all are so proud of them. Thank you for your support in achieving this.
One way system
I have continued to monitor the arrival and exit of children onto The Albert Pye site and asked for the Police Community Support Officer to monitor this with me last week. I understand that road closures around Beccles have also created extra traffic. Whilst the restrictions on schools remain and whilst the recommendation for one way systems remains in place I do believe we should continue with our systems as they currently are. I do thank parents for your co-operation with this and we will continue to monitor this over the coming weeks.
You will all have received a Parentmail with bookings for phone conversations with your child’s class teacher whilst we are unable to meet together in person. Please do make sure that you have booked your appointment as staff really value these conversations with you and they are really important for your child.
Visits into school
Please can I remind parents that you should not currently come into school unless you have booked a prior appointment and this is planned for. All children are working in their Bubbles and we are trying to keep our Bubbles as consistent as we can. If your child does forget something or there is a message, parents are asked please to go via the School Office and not just to walk into school. Thanks for your support with this.
A reminder that this half term ends for children on Thursday 22 October. Friday 23 is a training day for staff only. May I wish you all a very enjoyable half term break and we look forward to seeing children again on Monday 2 November.
